FAQs

Q?How much does it cost?
A.

Each project is different. Thus, charges vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.

At JLR Entertainment we believe in the designer’s triangle of truth, which is as follows:

  1. You can get it done cheap and fast, but you won’t get quality.
  2. You can get it done cheap and with quality, but it won’t be fast.
  3. You can get it done fast and with quality, but it won’t be cheap.

You will find that the rates charged by JLR Entertainment are very reasonable for the quality of work provided. A cost estimate and fee schedule are provided and mutually agreed to before any work begins on a project. To see our standard fixed prices for some of our services click here.

Q?How long does it take to complete a website?
A.

Depending on whether a client’s website content is ready to go largely dictates how long it takes to get a new site up and running. If content is gathered and prepped prior to the design process, most client sites can be completed within 30 to 60 days. See question “How does the production/design process work? What should I expect?”.

Q?Who will make changes to the website once its done?
A.
Launching your site signifies the beginning of your Web site, not the end. Every successful Web site requires ongoing updates and changes to keep the site fresh and relevant to its audience. Even if your Web site isn’t the kind that will require visitors to return time and again, stale content (such as Coming Soon events that have long past and July 4th Specials that appear in September) will convince visitors that your Web site isn’t relevant and there’s no one minding the store. Updates can be done in house, if a staff member is familiar with HTML, or by JLR Entertainment. At JLR, we have several maintenance payment plans to choose from that minimize the cost of monthly updates. To find out more about our web maintenance plans click here .

The ability to update one or two pages on your Web site may only add a couple hundred dollars to your cost; being able to create new pages, have them linked from the home page automatically, and be posted and taken down on certain dates, will require a more robust Content Management System (CMS) and will cost a little extra. Please keep this in mind prior to starting the website design process.

Q?Can JLR Entertainment arrange web hosting for my new website?
A.

Yes. JLR Entertainment offers both shared, virtual and dedicated server plans all maintained on a rock-solid Tier 1 network. All services have a 30-day money-back guarantee. To find out more about our hosting services click here.

Q?Can JLR Entertainment register my domain name?
A.

Yes. JLR Entertainment can provide both your web hosting and domain name needs. Your cost to register a domain name begins at $12.00 annually with a registration period of up to three years.

Q?Why won’t JLR Entertainment do a mass email campaign with the email list I bought?
A.

Sending people unsolicited email, commercial or otherwise, is against the law in many countries worldwide. In other words, their permission is needed. Scenarios that DON’T equate to permission are:

  • You obtained the email addresses from a third party
Whether you purchased a list, were provided one by a partner or bought a bankrupt competitor’s customer list, those people never gave YOU permission to email them and they will consider your email spam. No matter the claims of the source of this list, you cannot email them using JLR Entertainments e-mail marketing services
  • You scraped or “copy and pasted” the addresses from the Internet
Just because people publish their email address doesn’t mean they want to hear from you.
  • You haven’t emailed that address for more than 2 years
Permission doesn’t age well. Even if you got their permission legitimately, they won’t remember giving it to you. If you haven’t sent something to that address in the last 2 years, you can’t start now.
